The Power of Vitality

We had pointed Lake Superior out to Alyse and Miah from a distance, from high up on a bluff looking down on the blue waters while eating a picnic lunch.   Recently we introduced them up close and personal.   The strong wind that day created white caps.  The sound of the waves crashing against the shore made hearing the speech of the person next to you difficult.   The girls seized the joy of the moment and began jumping waves with abandonment.

Is the power of vitality ours when we choose to live in the here and now – when we engage fully in each day’s offerings with gratitude and enthusiasm?

Father God, enable me, like my granddaughters, to seize the joy of each day with full abandonment.
